SEZ Lotus residents have invested more than 3 billion rubles in their projects

The Director General of SEZ Lotus JSC Sergey Milushkin announced preliminary results of the Lotus Special Economic Zone at the exit meeting with representatives of the Astrakhan region prosecutor’s office, the Ministry of Economic Development of the region and the residents. The meeting took place on the territory of the Shipbuilding plant Lotus.
Today 17 companies are residents of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the Narimanov district, with total volume of declared investments of more than 40 billion rubles.

— As of November 1, 2022 investments in the SEZ Lotus exceeded 3.3 billion roubles, over 1.1 billion roubles of taxes and social payments and 423 working places. The first factories are working, three enterprises are under construction, including the first Iranian detergents plant in Russia. A number of other projects are at the design stage, — said Sergey Milushkin.

Representatives of resident companies told about the progress of projects implementation on the territory of SEZ Lotus. CEO of «Hexa-Lotus» LLC said that in 2022 the company has expanded the production of geosynthetic materials. The amount of investment has increased almost twice — up to 537,8 million rubles. Now the company employs 140 people. The company has already invested more than 300 million rubles in the first stage of the project. At the beginning of the next year the company will launch the second stage of the project, and start producing additional volumes. Once all the facilities start operating, the production volume will increase from 150 tons to 300 tons per month. The number of employees will amount to more than 200 people.

Construction of a large modern plant for the production of feed for fish and pets Fish Feed JSC also came to the finish line. At present the equipment of workshops and preparations for the technical launch are underway. In the first quarter of 2023, the factory will start operating. Investments are about 2.5 billion rubles. The planned production volume — 50 thousand tons per year.

The construction of the plant for the production of detergents Rosa LLC is in progress. The project is implemented by the company, which is a part of the large Iranian private holding Golrang Industrial Group. The foundation works are completed; the contractor will soon start installing metal structures.

Besides summarizing the results of work for 2022, the attendees also discussed current issues concerning the activities of residents, as well as the interaction of business and representatives of state authorities in the region. Particular attention was paid to the importance of construction of social infrastructure for employees of Special Economic Zones of the Caspian cluster.

— This issue is particularly acute in the Port SEZ, as the Liman district is significantly distant from the regional center. Also, the residents of SEZ Lotus are strongly interested in modern residential infrastructure, because lots of employees are from Astrakhan, — stressed Sergey Milushkin.

Acting Prosecutor of the Astrakhan region Rostislav Gladyshev said that the supervisory authority pays close attention to respect for the rights of business entities. Such meetings are organized and held on a regular basis — it allows maintaining direct contact between representatives of the state and business, as well as contributes to the provision of operational assistance in solving urgent problems.
