Port SEZ engineering preparation of the territory has been completed and the construction of the anchor resident has begun
Engineering preparation works included backfilling of soil with layer-by-layer compaction and leveling of the territory for further construction of roads, warehouses and other infrastructure. On the area of 40 hectares, about 600 thousand cubic meters of soil were displaced; the area was elevated almost by 1.5 meters. The work was carried out by a local company.
— The site is fully prepared for construction works. Also, in parallel, we have finished the design and survey works for the construction of the infrastructure of the first phase. These are water supply networks, crane tracks, power supply facilities, access road, open and closed warehouses and other facilities. The construction costs are estimated at about two billion rubles. The money has been allocated from the federal budget. The documentation is in the Main Department of State Expertise. We expect that at the beginning of next year we will get a positive opinion and announce a tender, — says Director General of SEZ Lotus JSC Sergey Milushkin.
The first stage of port SEZ development implements equipping berths 8 and 9 of Olya port with crane equipment and construction of grain, oil and container terminals. The contractor of the anchor resident — PLC Caspiy LLC — works at the site. Access roads to the berths are being constructed, the territory is being fenced, the ground for the terminals is being prepared, some metal structures for warehouses have been delivered.
— We plan to place here warehouses and grain silos with 100 thousand tons of simultaneous storage and special oil reservoirs. Estimated total capacity of grain — 900 thousand tons per year, oil — 300 thousand tons per year. There will also be created a transshipment complex for handling of containers, general and project cargo with capacity of about 1 million tons, — Sergey Milushkin added.
The ground has already been prepared for the future terminals. Soon the building of the headquarters will begin, and then the installation of warehouses will begin. In prospect it is planned to build a railroad, which will approach both to wharfs, and to terminals. The design capacity of berths 8 and 9 will be about 3 million tons. The objects will start operating in Q1 2024.
