Today, the international forum and exhibition InRussia 2024, which takes place on October 17-18 in Mineralnye Vody, is coming to an end. The event was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the government of the Stavropol Region. The event is attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Energy of the Astrakhan Region, the Caspian Cluster Management Company (SEZ Lotus JSC), the Astrakhan Region Development Corporation and the regional Industrial Development Fund.
The exhibition presents the stand of the Astrakhan Region, which introduces to visitors the industrial and investment potential of the region, Special Economic Zones of the Caspian Cluster and forms of support for investment projects provided by the Astrakhan Region Development Corporation.
At the opening of the forum, Ivan Kulikov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, read out a greeting from Anton Alikhanov, Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade: ‘Russia is a prominent participant in global industrial supply chains, production and technological cooperation. Now, in the context of global geopolitical changes, this dialogue is of particular strategic importance and opens up a wide range of opportunities for enterprises working with the Russian Federation and especially those that are having production facilities on its territory’.
On the first day of the forum he also visited the stand of the Astrakhan Region.
‘LOTUS Special Economic Zone is a promising area for the development of industrial cooperation and production of import-substituting products. Today, unique passenger and cargo ships, dredgers are being built, and industrial products of a wide range (geosynthetics, fish feed) are being produced there. An Iranian factory which next year plans to start producing shampoos, shower gels and other high quality products is under construction, other projects are being implemented as well. We reported on our developing projects and our work was approved,’ commented Mikhail Kabakov, Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade and Energy of the Astrakhan Region.
At the forum, the Astrakhan delegation held talks with representatives of Rosatom, the Leningrad Region Industry Development Center, Vsevolzhsky Crane Plant LLC, Pakistan Free Economic Zone, Zaporozhye Region Development Corporation and other exhibitors.
InRussia 2024 business program included a plenary session ‘Diversity of Opportunities of Russian Regions’, panel sessions dedicated to the domestic industrial potential, development of industrial infrastructure, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, HR policy and other relevant issues.
This year the stand of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation is presented at the exhibition for the first time. It is dedicated to competitive import-substituting products. The forum program is aimed, among other things, at training managers of industrial infrastructure facilities. The guests of InRussia were about 2000 participants - senators and deputies, representatives of regions, federal ministries, business community, management companies, tenants of parks, participants of industrial clusters, as well as international delegations from friendly countries.
