This was announced by Sergey Milushkin, Director General of SEZ Lotus JSC, in a summary of the 9-year work of the Management Company.
Today 16 companies with projects worth more than 28 billion rubles are the tenants of the industrial production SEZ Lotus in the Narimanov District. As of April 1, 2024, the volume of investments made by the tenants amounted to 5.24 billion rubles, and 550 jobs were created. The companies have paid over 2 billion rubles in taxes and social fees.
The plant of Gexa-Lotus LLC is successfully operating on the territory of SEZ and is getting ready to launch the third production line. A large Russian plant for aquaculture feed of JSC Rybniye-Korma, which will soon open its doors in a festive atmosphere, has been launched. The Lotos Shipyard (incorporated in the Southern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center of the JSC USC) continues to secure new orders. Innovative dredgers are being built at the enterprise; this project became possible not without the participation of SEZ Lotus JSC. Russia's first plant of household chemicals of Iranian brands is under construction and will be launched in 2025.
– In 2017, we established the first contact with the large private Iranian holding company Golrang. At that time, they were just considering entering the Russian market. During many years of negotiations, we convinced the head staff of the relevance of establishing production in our industrial SEZ. And today we can already see the constructed workshops of the first Iranian plant established in Russia. We continue to cooperate with partners from Iran, and they tend to establish other enterprises in SEZ Lotus, largely due to the effective teamwork in addressing investors’ issues and the reputation we have among Iranian partners, – said Sergey Milushkin.
In addition, SEZ Lotus JSC is working with a prospective tenant, planning to revive the project of drip irrigation tape production for agriculture, as well as assisting JSC MedInTech in acquiring investments to continue the project of a plant construction to produce 3rd generation syringes, infusion systems and catheters.
Agro-Export LLC, RK Inzhiniring LLC, and EFK LLC are also implementing their projects related to construction of a complex for processing wheat into high-quality flour, a production center providing protective, repair and restoration coatings, and a complex for the production of dietary supplements, parapharmaceuticals, and cosmetic products. The design works are currently underway and the start of construction is scheduled for the end of this year.
Over the past 9 years, 35 engineering facilities have been built and put into operation in SEZ Lotus, paving the way for the successful launch of new plants and the attraction of new tenants. The construction of infrastructure in the framework of the Russian Federation Government Decree No. 1704 continues – in total 19 facilities will be built, some of them are ready and some will be completed soon.
He also noted that during all the years of its operation SEZ Lotus was recognized as effective by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and took rightful positions in independent ratings of special economic zones, including Global Free Zones international rating in 2020 and obtaining membership in the World Free Zones Organization (World FZO) in 2022.
