In Moscow, the annual National Industrial Congress PromSpace took place, bringing together leading representatives of governmental authorities, heads of major state and private companies, as well as experts from the industrial sector. Each year, participants discuss the key directions of industrial policy and the modern challenges for Russian enterprises. This year, the main focus of the discussions became the development of technological independence, the expansion of financing instruments, and the support of high-technology sectors of industry.
The event was organized by the Agency for Economic Development with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Union of Russian Machine Builders, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
The issue of financial support for domestic enterprises aimed at improving the investment climate and increasing the industry’s competitiveness was among the topics considered by the meeting’s participants. This includes state support for the development of industrial infrastructure, the role of industrial parks, technology parks, and industrial clusters in strengthening the industrial potential of Russian regions, preferential financing for import-substituting industrial production, and more.
The central event of the congress was the plenary session “Made in Russia: Course toward Technological Leadership”. There, the attendees covered the issue of effective technology transfer between scientific institutions and business, and improving the quality of personnel training for the industry of the future. Special attention was given to integrating Russian IT products and introducing advanced solutions in artificial intelligence and data analytics into the real sector of the economy.
– In the modern world, technological development is the foundation of national sovereignty. Without its own technological base, it is impossible to ensure a country’s independence and security. Therefore, it is extremely important to create and support innovation ecosystems, stimulate scientific and technical progress, and introduce advanced developments into production processes. The exchange of experience in a constantly changing market is a key factor in the successful development of our enterprises. Only through open dialogue, joint study of best practices, and the introduction of innovations can we adapt and seize new opportunities,” — commented Irina Bocharnikova, Head of the Investor’s Division of SEZ Lotus JSC.
