ITC "North-South" and Caspian cluster SEZ drew interest of INNOPROM exhibitors

The INNOPROM international industrial exhibition has ended in Yekaterinburg. This year, the Republic of Kazakhstan was a partner country in the event. Representatives of 51 countries and 79 Russian regions took part in the exhibition. Andrey Nalimov, Deputy Director General of SEZ Lotus JSC, represented the Caspian cluster of special economic zones at the event.

Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, opened the main strategic session of INNOPROM. "We have many friends in the world, we appreciate and respect everyone. And the fact that we are gathered together on this platform now confirms: Russia cannot be isolated. We are inextricably linked with the whole world," said the head of the Russian Cabinet. Mikhail Mishustin also mentioned the special relationship of strategic partnership and alliance with Kazakhstan.

Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov outlined the vectors of the Russian industry for the near future. "We have passed the first stage of import substitution - development, creation and production of finished samples of industrial products. Today we are facing new challenges - we have to go deeper into localization and creation of our own products in the fields where we depend on others. But with colleagues from friendly countries, we have conducted, are conducting and will continue to conduct work on cooperation with industrial enterprises in order to have joint programmes in the field of industry," Denis Manturov noted.

Special economic zone of the industrial production type "Lotus" may be considered as a place for such profound localization, where Russian and foreign companies implement projects of various profiles - from light industry to shipbuilding. On the margins of the exhibition, representatives of SEZ Lotus JSC held negotiations with manufacturers of industrial equipment and companies interested in supplies along the international transport corridor "North-South". "We visited stands and held negotiations with companies from China, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Turkey. Interest in both economic zones is high - in the industrial zone in terms of establishing joint industrial production facilities, and in the port zone as an important hub on the North-South ITC. We will study it in more detail", comments Deputy Director General of JSC "SEZ "Lotus" Andrey Nalimov.

Also on the first day of the forum representatives of JSC "SEZ "Lotus" visited the exposition of Astrakhan State University and the spin-off of LLC NTK "MorRobotSystems". SEZ Lotus JSC is one of the main partners of the university, supporting the development of projects, including the “Priority 2030” programme. Joint efforts make it possible to draw attention to the development agenda of the North-South international transport corridor. It is no coincidence that the North-South Corridor Digital Transport Platform project was supported as part of the Strong Ideas for a New Time competition and was included in the Top 200 projects. According to Andrey Nalimov, there is considerable potential for cooperation between the university and SEZ Lotus JSC for the development of the region's economic potential. The meeting outlined the next steps for the implementation of joint projects, including the promotion of the university and the economic zones of the Caspian cluster at significant international events.
